Favorite place for authentic, reasonably priced Mexican food. Hard to find a place this good in Lakeland.

Great food!!! I've had the burrito, the chicken and steak tacos americanos the chicken and carne asada street tacos with just onions and cilantro the taco salad the chicken flautas plate with rice and beans. This place is awesome. I have never sat down to eat in the restaurant but I plan on doing so once the quarantine is over.

Wait times are a little long for To Go, but it's worth the wait. I recommend calling in your order before you go. The food is excellent!

Went there and the girl was sweeping floor into the kitchen area where they are preparing food I spoke up and said no no I dont want dirt in my food dont know if she was new but anyone knows that is a no no

Best chips and salsa we have had yet in Lakeland. Freshly prepared authentic cuisine. Corn tacos and taco salad - very good. Price is within reason. Friendly staff and quick service. Pair with authentic beer and enjoy! Live music on Sunday was an unexpected treat.

If you enjoy authentic Mexican food as much as I do you will absolutely love Mega Mercado. Nestled inside the the grocery store; this family owned and operated restaurant, serves up huge portions, with friendly service, and low prices. Here you can find real Mexican food, ice cold Mexican sodas, cerveza, and delicious tres leches. Also if they have them, (they sell out daily) don't leave here without ordering tamales.

I had a to go order and before I could even place my order, 2 ladies walked by me 3 times without even acknowledging my existence. When I finally did get someone’s attention, I was met with a poor attitude when I asked to explain something on the menu. This is the 2nd time I’ve had this treatment here. My first experience was a couple years ago so I thought by now they may have changed servers and had a few customer service classes over the years... nope, same poor service, same untrained servers. My advice to anyone looking to eat Mexican food is CHOOSE ANOTHER RESTAURANT. The food is not worth the horrendous customer service, especially when Mexican restaurants are becoming a dime a dozen nowadays.

I live close by but had never been there. Went in one day to check out nice restaurant. Wonderful fresh baked breads and desserts. Lots fresh vegetables associates very friendly.

Food took forever 25 minutes and they only had 3 tables for 2 simple order over priced tacos and meat was Tasteless and there fruit waters over price! They’re expensive ..beer is cheaper!!that makes no sense!! Never coming back! And the restrooms disgusting!!!

Best Mexican food in the area!

Sunday Jan 27, 2019 just ordered a Breakfast Burrito with only 2 items, eggs n beans, and the waitress said that the cook refused to do it this way. I did enjoy the Veg Fajitas but when the cook refuses to cook an item on the menu without the items a person might be allergic too, well then it's time to find a different place to dine at.

Spanish grocery store with a restaurant inside. The restaurant has some of the best mexican food around! Very nice people. They speak english and Spanish.

Staff is the worst. We arrived and there is no hostess or a sign that says to seat yourself so your just standing around at the door.After we seated ourselves there was no staff to be found, it took 1 waitress 10min. to come out from the back to get us started with something to drink. When my food came out it wasn't what I requested and after we got our meal she didn't come by to check if we needed anything.Food had good flavor they just need better training to their staff.

Tried this place for the first time yesterday. I ordered 3 different kinds of tacos; chicken, steak and beef cheek. They were all amazing! Comes with a kind of salsa/sauce that is so tasty and some limes to go with. I will absolutely be back!

Mega Mercado and Restaurant.Good Mexican restaurant! Good Mexican food! When the cook finishes an order he whistles! I like this place. Worth the stop. And they serve every kind of beverage and sodas on the planet! Very busy place. Love the music! Muchas Gracias

My son and his friend eat here all the time and I understand why. Great food in a simple setting, served by friendly people!. Cant beat that! And have the ice cream, it's amazing!

I went with a group of friends for lunch and wow! I had two tacos and a tostada, my husband had four tacos, our friends got a mega burrito and a chimichanga and their kiddos had quesadillas. All the food was fresh and delicious. The kids' food even came out a little before the rest so they could get settled and start eating. The tacos were served with onions and tons of cilantro and were so flavorful. The only downside was that it's difficult to see the storefront from the road, but your GPS will help you there. I definitely recommend eating at Mega Mercado and will be back every time I'm in Lakeland.

Best mexican food ever. I’ve been to different mexican restaurants in different countries but this one has my heart. The waiters are amazing, I love them. The best food ever. Amazing prices. And lovely place to share some food with your friends, family and even a date!

We have eaten twice from this restaurant. Both times were exceptional. The prices and flavors are awesome. The meats actually have different flavors unlike most other Mexican Restaurants in town.

Food was good! On the other hand service was slow to be seated and for beverages to make it to our table. I like this place bc they cook your order at the time that it is placed, so the food is always hot and tasty. I will be back!

I was working in Lakeland and decided to give this place a try. Oh my... this place was so good. The service was quick and the food was absolutely delicious. I almost thought I died and went heaven as I took my first bite. It was that good. Can't wait to go back. Very affordable also.

Mega mercardo was very clean. I was greeted as i came in the door. They have really good authentic spanish food and some of the freshest meat at the butcher counter. Yall gotta try the horchata

I was on the hunt for the BEST tacos in Lakeland and was led to this place by several people. Let me just say, I’ve been here THREE days in a row and I feel like each time the food tastes even better!!! I’m amazed at the quality and the level of service here. Everyone is super friendly and helpful. If you’re looking for authentic SUPER DELICIOUS tacos or anything for that matter, this is definitely the place you want to come to! They have a plethora of Mexican candies and treats, also some of the BEST Mexican paletas EVERRRR!!

Food is very authentic and taste great! If you stop by on Sunday morning's they usually have a Mariachi band.

Mega Mercado is real. The tortilla chips and salsa are like I used to get in Mexico City. They will bring you a great salsa picante if you really like spicy. The Chicken Flautas are best in Lakeland with very lean white meat chicken. One platter has 4 Flautas and can be shared. Tacos al Pastor and Carnitas are authentic..and delicious.
